While we had many times we could have met before senior year of college, like living kitty corner to one another sophomore year of college or hanging out in rooms right across the hall junior year, we did not meet until the beginning of senior year in college. Emma's roommate Lucca was friends with David prior to us meeting and had him over. We got to talking and when Lucca had to leave for a meeting, David stayed. We got to talking and never really stopped. Almost immediately after, David was at everything of Emma's and vice versa.

Three years to the date after graduating, David suggested we head up to St. Norbert to walk around and reminisce about the good times we had at college. The day was rainy, with possible tornadoes. On the drive up from Appleton, Emma suggested they postpone until it was nicer out, and David swore up and down "It will clear up." He wasn't wrong. We were able to walk around campus and chat. As they were approaching the final leg of the journey under the picturesque St. Norbert Arch, David turned to Emma, getting down on one knee and asked her to marry him. After the ring was put on her finger and while embracing in a long hug, Emma whispered to David, "Did I even say yes?" And finally, she said yes to marrying him.
