If you ask Emma when she and Koda met, she would say two years ago when he slid in her on her DM’s. However, Koda remembered Emma from high school. When Koda first messaged Emma, he was incredibly sweet and respectful. He mentioned that he remembered seeing her walk the halls and hearing her laugh. Emma found this very sweet, but she was honest about not remembering him (a fact he still teases her about). From that moment on, they continued talking every day, and the rest is history. <3

Koda had a plan to surprise Emma with a country music festival in Ennis, Texas. Emma thought it would just be a fun weekend getaway, but she had no idea he was proposing. He kept the details a secret, hoping to make it a complete surprise. They arrived at the festival, had a blast, and even had a minor mishap when Emma fell on the bleachers and busted her knee. (It was quite embarrassing.) But the highlight of the night came when they attended a lantern release. Emma, a huge fan of Tangled, had always dreamed of seeing one, and it was on her bucket list. As they released the lanterns, Emma felt like she was living her dream. Just as they were about to leave, they suddenly remembered that Emma had busted her knee. Koda then took her to Walmart to get some bandages. Back at their hotel room, Koda turned to Emma and said he had a surprise. He asked her to close her eyes, and little did she know he was setting up the camera to record. Emma walked in with her eyes shut, and Koda went behind her, saying some beautiful words. Then, he got down on one knee and proposed!
