Our Story

After a harsh freshman year of college Emma decided to head back to her hometown to focus on mental health, family, and funds. She got a few part-time jobs for the summer, one being at the Black Bear Inn where she worked many opening shifts. For the majority of the morning Emma read a book duly and helped random customers with a kind smile, but whenever the construction crew for the Black Bear came in her heart lit up just a little. The shy best friend of the very talkative manager caught her attention. She told herself that she wasn't going to search for anything or pursue anything, just to focus on her family, but her heart lead her to this man of God, Connor. A man who sought God in his daily life. Someone who was kind to others, and understanding of Emma's situation. Someone who found no flaws in her and loved her for who she was. However, Connor was a little shy to flirt with her, so Emma started to write messages on his coffee cups hoping he would get the hint and actually start to talk to her. Luckily this worked and they spent a few months talking and realizing that they could have serious conversations but also knew how to be kids and have fun. After a short amount of time they found that God had made them for each other. Emma knew that when she went looking for herself God gave her Connor, and now they are choosing to spend forever together, and Connor still has the coffee cups.
