Emma's Perspective: Clay and I both went to Saint Louis University to play sports--Clay baseball, and me volleyball. The athlete circle was close nit, so it didn't take long for us to run into each other at a party Freshman year. I remember exactly where I stood when I first saw Clay. I thought he was cute--even with the sideburns ;) . While that night we didn't say more than introductions, our paths kept crossing. He let the volleyball girls and I watch the Bachelor on his big screen TV, and he received a lot of grief from the baseball guys as a result. I thought to myself, "This guy must like me, to put up with that". Neither of us were looking for a relationship as college freshman, but we realized we had something special. Now, more than 7 years later, Clay and I couldn't be happier! Clay's Perspective: I officially met Emma and got her name at a party freshman year. I thought she was pretty, so I said hello and we had a little chat. A couple of months later, after a night out, one of her teammates was watching a movie in my dorm room with Damian Rivera and myself. Emma and another teammate barged in, so happy that they found her. They finished the movie with us, and actually thought we were funny, and nice guys. At that point Emma and the team started hanging out with us a lot, and her and I started talking a lot more. I liked her and always invited her up for movies and TV. At first I thought she was just using my dorm room for The Bachelor on Mondays, but I felt that she liked me too. I finally got the courage to ask her to be my girlfriend, and she said no. She actually said no two different times that I had asked. Most guys probably would have quite after that, but I felt that it was meant to be that Emma and I were together. I asked a third time, and she did say yes to this (probably just tired of me asking). And since then, it has been Clay and Emma. And come September 28th, it will be Clay and Emma forever!
