Every summer Saturday from 8-1 pm the market is open. With a few yummy breakfast and coffee options it is a wonderful place to browse around in the morning and see the historic Stone Arch Bridge, old Mill Ruins, and Mississippi river. Bonus! They typically have a free yoga session on most Saturdays!
As an amazing free museum offering here in Minneapolis, this is a great visit if you plan on arriving early and want to escape inside for an adventure.
Home to the infamous Spoonbridge and Cherry, the Minneapolis sculpture garden is situated just across 94 near the Lowry Hill neighborhood. With a rich history the gardens are a beautiful place to walk and explore if you like your walks with a side of art.
A great spot for a run or bike the grand rounds path winds all around the Twin Cities. If you're looking for some easy milage the Downtown River segment is 1.2 miles although Mabel's personal favorite part is the Minnehaha segment.
If you're a water bug in the land of 10,000 lakes head to the south Minneapolis lakes. Canoes, kayaks, boats, and paddle boards are all available for rental down by both Lake Harriet and Lake Bda Maka Ska and if you're not a swimmer both have great walking and running paths.
While it is a hike we couldn't give you a full list of ideas without including the "Artist Formerly Known as Prince". If you have some extra time Paisley Park, Prince's former home and studio has tours that run Thursday through Monday.
Located in Northeast arts district this indoor/outdoor tap room has great summer vibes and usually at least one food truck to keep you feeling full. It also happens to feature Emma's second favorite MN craft beer the Guavatron.
Located in the North Loop of Minneapolis Fulton Tap Room holds special memories for us as it was the last stop in the engagement day festivities that Cale planned! It is open 7 days a week and always has something new to try.
As one of the biggest craft breweries in the Twin Cities, Surly is always hopping. If you head over that way they have great food, or be sure to check out Malcom Yards Food Hall for a bite to eat.
Take in the Minneapolis skyline from the rooftop lounge at the Hewing Hotel. Enjoy fun cocktails and small bites while you take in the city.
A great spot for a late night cocktail and a burger! While they no longer take reservations, if you do happen to stop in, make sure you try the french fries. They might just remind you of nostalgia and those old golden arches.
Their chocolate croissant and espresso will bring you joy for the day! Even if you're not a pastry fanatic the store is worth a stop in just to see their plethora of cooking gear and gadgets.
Freshly made bagels daily and the line is worth the wait! If you're feeling dangerous the chocolate hazelnut cold brew and the artisan bagel is pair that can't be beat. P.S. try the salt bagel.
