Once upon a time, in 2021, at a school called Pikes Peak Elementary there was a school social worker and a building engineer. That was the first time we met. Despite a major crush and nervousness (on Emma's end), we stayed friends and platonic co-workers as Blake heard Emma chasing kids down Verde via the school radio. This school closed its doors forever in Spring 2022. The second time we met was downtown Colorado Springs 6 months later. On a respective girls night and boys night, we happened to be in the right place at the right time. We exchanged numbers and would hang out as friends. About 5 months of being "just friends", Emma was the first to realize she wanted more than that. The more they hung out, the more she saw what a good man and father Blake was. So after Blake caught up to the program (about 3 weeks later), we went on our official first date to none other than... Chili's. From then on, things have felt just right. Blake asked Emma to be his girlfriend at a pre-season Broncos game in August 2023, and the rest is history. We have grown so much together individually and as a team. We have pushed one another, spoken truth and life and encouragement into one another and become each other's safest place to land. We love it here :) And we cannot wait to celebrate our next chapter with all of our favorite humans at one of our favorite places! See ya there.
