What would we all do without family and friends? Well, in Emma and Benny’s case, this wouldn’t have been written, and you wouldn’t be reading. In September of 2017, their cousin and good friend said “yes” to her now husband and was kind enough to give them the opportunity to meet. After spending the first half of the wedding stealing glances at the other, Benny found the courage or the proper amount of wine to introduce himself to Emma. Hours of talk and dance proceeded, planting a seed of hope in both. The truth, however, is that they met four years prior when Emma visited Washington during spring break. At a small family gathering, Benny claims he met and tried to talk to Emma, but his younger and more nervous self, failed to leave any impression on Emma.
