Our story is practically and Nicholas Sparks film in real life. We had the romantic first meeting on New Years Day when we both swiped right on the dating app Tinder and then hit it off over some stupid joke about it being a leap year... I know, a real tear-jerker. On our first date we had a nice dinner and talked about our many common interests like sports and video games. Don't worry, the romance doesn't stop there. After dinner we went to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens (the second time for Andy) and ended our night with a romantic stroll through the parking lot to find out that we were a match made in heaven because we both had the same old Chevy Malibu in the exact same color. Okay okay... I know this isn't exactly the Notebook romance story you were hoping for, but we can promise you that you don't need some cheesy over the top first meeting to find the love of your life.

At the beginning of December we started opening a Paw Patrol advent calendar for Landon every morning before Andy left for work. Each slot had a small toy inside and it was a very cute thing for Landon to do to count down the days until Christmas. So on Christmas Eve we woke up, had breakfast then went to open the very last slot of the advent calendar in front of our Christmas tree. It happened to be the perfect shape and size for a ring box, so Andy pulled the box out of the slot and opened it, and got down on one knee and proposed! Landon naturally was very confused as to why there wasnt a toy inside, but was quick to start playing with the empty ring box and accidentally shut the ring box on his finger. It was very romantic and special and we were all crying, even though it wasnt for the same reason! :)
