Kayla has been my best friend for over 11 years. From the moment we met, because our lockers were assigned next to each other, we just clicked. Through thick and thin, she has been there for me. Kayla has been more than a friend to me, she has been a sister. Throughout the years, she has provided me so much support, unconditional love, and wisdom. We have laughed till we cried and chatted for hours and hours on end more times then I can count. I have always known from the start that we would be friends forever. I was blessed to be able to stand next to her as her maid of honour, and I am so happy that she is standing next to me on Andrew and I's special day.
Julian Flikkema
Best Man
I met Julian 14 years ago through a mutual friend in high school. Our friendship really kicked off when we discovered we would be going to the same church together. As we got to know each other more through church and school, we really started to click. It wasn't long before we would often spend evenings and weekends together watching movies, stuffing ourselves with pizza, playing video games, and practicing our archery skills in the field behind my house. As we got older we really challenged each other because of our polar opposite personalities, but it helped us both grow in many ways. I value Julian as my closest friend. He is always there for me when I needed to talk, no matter when; and he always knew when something was up that I needed to talk about. Our times praying for one another, growing up together, goofing off together, staying up late, and enjoying food across a table will be memories I cherish for the rest of my life.
