Being mutuals on instagram for a year before they started college, Emma knew that Aidan was going to UNC in the fall as well. Not knowing anybody up there, she decided to take a chance on making a new friend. Little did she know the cute boy she met at the football viewing party would quickly turn into the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
After weeks of holding back from saying "I love you" and avoiding freaking the other out, the couple tiptoed around it until Aidan said it first. It was met with an "I love you, too" and big smiles.
Ever since six months into the relationship, the couple knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, but also knew it was unrealistic to get married during their sophomore year of college. Waiting for the right time, Aidan told Emma that it would be before the end of 2019. From September through December, Emma got her nails done, so they would be picture perfect when the time came. On December 28th, Aidan and Emma went to look at the lights at the Broadmoor. Finding a perfect building with a beautiful tree all to themselves, Aidan got down on one knee and asked Emma to spend the rest of their lives together. She, of course, said "YES!"
The couple hopes you can join them on their special day! They want to take a moment to explain why the venue that they chose is important to them. The beautiful ranch that the wedding and reception will take place on has had a special place in Emma's family for years. Her grandparents own it, and her dad helped build it. When her grandfather passed away a couple years back, Emma knew that he would have loved for her to get married on the property. A HUGE thank you to Emma's Grammie who helped make having the wedding on the property possible. It's going to be a dream come true.
