Kykuit was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family, beginning with the philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil. Now a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, this extraordinary landmark has been continuously and meticulously maintained for more than 100 years.
Lyndhurst, also known as the Jay Gould estate, is a Gothic Revival castle that sits in its own 67-acre park beside the Hudson River. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966. You may recognize it from tv's Dark Shadows and The Gilded Age.
