We're Getting Married!

Brian and Emma were introduced at a mutual friend's birthday dinner in 2011. Brian noticed Emma staring him down from the opposite end of the table (Emma has her doubts about the accuracy of this), but the two did not exchange more than a few words as Emma had to leave early for an award ceremony like the nerd she is. Fast forward to 2014 when Emma's sister, Sara (Maid of Honor), spotted Brian studying at the library in their hometown. After a whispered debate, Emma decided to interrupt Brian's studying to chat and catch up. This led to a year of friendship until the two went their separate ways with Brian starting his first job and Emma moving to Savannah for medical school. Naturally, the two started dating several months later when they lived 250+ miles away from each other. What followed was 2.5 years of road trips between Savannah and Atlanta, numerous Skype movie dates during which Emma fell asleep, and hundreds (thousands?) of hours of nightly phone conversations until...

During one of the many aforementioned phone conversations, Brian suggested that the two of them go hiking at Tallulah Gorge during Emma's next visit. Being the ever compulsive planner, Emma calculated that, given the limited number of visits remaining before she would be swamped with board studies, residency applications, and 4th year rotations, this particular weekend would be the ideal window for a proposal to occur. Fortunately Brian felt the same. The weather was forecasted to be terrible for the entire week, but miraculously cleared the Saturday of the planned hike. After finding a secluded spot, Brian got down on one knee and popped the question. Emma immediately responded "yes!", and the two went on to enjoy another scenic hike through Tallulah Gorge.
