Things To Do

We love San Diego and we hope you will too! Here are some of our favorite places to bring people when they visit, and to visit ourselves.

Torrey Pines

San Diego, CA

Hike the trails at Torrey Pines for beautiful ocean views. Pro tip - if you don't want to walk up the not so scenic hill at the start, you can drive up and park in a parking lot at the top of the hill, and take the walking trails from there. I hear there's also a famous golf course nearby :)

Balboa Park

San Diego, CA

Even larger than NYC's Central Park, Balboa features tons of gardens, architecture, walking trails, museums, and restaurants.

Little Italy

San Diego, CA 92101

Lots of cool restaurants (Italian and otherwise) and a great place to walk around. There's a huge farmers market here on Saturday mornings. For restaurants in this neighborhood, we love Nolita Hall, Bencotto, Civico 1845, and Ironside Oyster. Make sure you save room for ice cream at Salt & Straw!

Petco Park

100 Park Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92101

Catch a game or take a tour of Petco Park! The stadium is beautiful and modern and has amazing food vendors, featuring tons of local San Diego favorites (Hodad's for burgers, Seaside Market for Cardiff Crack, Puesto for tacos... the list goes on). If there isn't a game or you just want a view of the park, you can go to Altitude Sky Lounge at the top of the Marriott Gaslamp for a bird's eye view of the stadium.

San Diego Zoo

2920 Zoo Drive, San Diego, CA 92101

Located within Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo is a world-famous wildlife park and botanical garden.

Pacific Beach

San Diego, CA 92109

This is the neighborhood where we had our first San Diego apartment! Known as a surfing hot spot and beachy community, Pacific Beach is a great spot to take a surf lesson (San Diego Surf School), walk the boardwalk, eat some tacos (Oscar's, La Perla, Harry's, City Tacos), and soak up the sun.

Ocean Beach

San Diego, CA

Hippie neighborhood with beaches, breweries, and plenty of characters!

Coronado Island

Coronado, CA 92118

Technically a peninsula, Coronado is a beautiful neighborhood and home to the famous Hotel Del Coronado. We love to rent bikes and take a ride around the neighborhood, and grab drinks at the Hotel Del or brunch at The Henry.

Cabrillo National Monument

San Diego, CA 92106

Beautiful views of the ocean, downtown San Diego, and Coronado. Make sure you go down the hill to check out the tide pools!

USS Midway Museum

910 North Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101
, (619) 544-9600

The USS Midway Museum is a historical naval aircraft carrier museum located in downtown San Diego at Navy Pier. The museum consists of the aircraft carrier Midway, and is close to our venue.

Seaport Village

San Diego, CA 92101

A cute shopping center near our wedding venue with souvenir shops, restaurants, and views of the bay and the Coronado Bridge.
