FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask that men wear suits and women wear cocktail dresses (either long or short). We are expecting hot temperatures for June 1st, but still ask that guests maintain a higher standard of modesty for Mass (A light cardigan to cover exposed shoulders and backs may be a good option if your dress is completely strapless or open-backed).

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The sooner - the better! The deadline we request is May 5th, 2024.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We respectfully ask that only those who have been given an invitation attend the wedding due to venue space. However, if this answer does not suffice, please reach out to Aidan and Emma directly and we would be happy to reassess if there will be room to allow for this!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We plan to use the outside areas of the church for bridesmaids/groomsmen photos until about 1:20pm, so an arrival time after 1:20pm and before 1:55pm would be ideal!

Question

This is a Catholic wedding, but I am not Catholic. What can I expect?

Answer

The Catholic Church welcomes all to its sacramental celebrations. We would be honored to have your full participation in the Mass and encourage you to follow along with the program. As a witness to the marriage of the bride and groom, you are called to actively assist in the wedding ceremony through words and actions that show your love and support for the couple. If you are not Christian, this may be as simple as being a warm presence for the couple and participating in the words and actions of the wedding liturgy as you feel comfortable. (No one expects you to say prayers or make statements of faith that do not reflect your beliefs.) If you are Christian, you are invited to join the whole assembly to offer your prayers (spoken and sung) for the couple. If you are unfamiliar with a Catholic Mass, the program will be a very helpful guide. In short terms - simply stand, sit, and, if you are comfortable, kneel with the rest of the congregation and just enjoy the beauty of the moment! "The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament" (CCC 1601)

Question

Why did my Save the Date come with the option to RSVP?

Answer

This helps us manage the official guest list early so that we can plan accordingly food & drink wise! We know that June can be a popular time for summer vacation, so we wanted to get on your calendar ahead of time!
