It all started Spring of 2012, in Spanish class none the less where Jake and Emily so happened to be placed by one another in the seating chart. Funny enough that teacher told the class as everyone sighed over having to get a new spot ‘at least two of you will thank me one day, seating charts are the start to great marriages!’. Well, Jake and Emily turned out to be those two- so wherever you are Miss Woodcox, thank you! They started officially ‘dating’ in the fall of 2012 when Jake asked Emily ‘to be his girlfriend’ in Joanie and Clarence’s basement (Emily’s Grandma and Grandpa) as their friends were all off TPing somewhere and the rest was history. Before Jake pulled off the ultimate marriage proposal 10 years later, he had MANY creative homecoming, snowball and prom proposals which never disappointed. When college came around Jake didn’t think he liked private schools (turns out he actually did-as he earned the title of ‘honorary Johnnie’) and pursued his bachelor’s degree at the U of M & Emily went to St. Ben’s to be a dietitian. While maintaining a long distance relationship for the better part of 6 years, they ended up in the cute town of Waconia, MN together after it was all said and done. On the shores of Lake Waconia was where Jake asked Emily to be his wife on Sept. 29, 2022- exactly 10 years from the day he asked her to be his girlfriend 🤍 Both Jake and Emily are beyond excited to celebrate this special time in their lives with everyone and cannot wait for their big day, and the rest of their lives as Mr. and Mrs. Klein.
