The Kruises

Tyler & Emily met at 8 & 9 years old when the Kruises moved into their current home. For years, they only caught glances of each other through the fence as they grew up. As they grew up, you would see sweet smiles & hear little giggles from Emily and her friends as they watched for the “neighbor boy” while they played near the fenceline. A few years later, when Tyler had the courage of a middle school boy, he stopped Emily and asked for her number at the fence line, which became a special place for the two. It became the spot you hear so frequently remembered by their families, where they would “meet at the fence.” Behind the Montgomery family’s barn & the Kruises’ backyard was their beloved meeting place. They would meet there for chats, exchange silly giggles, & share sweet kisses :) That’s where it all began. For the next five years, they went through stages of being in & out of contact. Sometimes months or even years would go by without words to one another. They took turns watching each other go in & out of relationships & trying to be happy for one another. Then, in June 2024, they reconnected and FINALLY found each other in the same stage of life. Both hearts open & poised to welcome each other into their lives for good. Tyler always told Emily that if they ever found their way back to each other, they would not waste any time. And they did exactly that. That summer went by, and they were inseparable, finally making up for their lost time. By March of 2025, they found out they would be welcoming their beautiful daughter into the world. Then, with an engagement in September & the birth of Linley in November, they ended 2025 with more joy than ever. They are counting down the days until they finally meet at the altar. They cannot wait for you to join them in celebrating their love that has been a long time coming!
