The proposal happened on a quiet summer evening at Tyler's family cabin, tucked away in St. Ola, Canada. Tyler suggested a sunset boat ride on the lake, just the two of us. Little did I know, this boat ride was different from any other. As the sun dropped lower and lower in the sky, he got closer to the moment he had been planning for. Tyler anchored the boat and we enjoyed the glow of golden hour. Then, Tyler asked me to close my eyes. Full of anticipation and curiosity, I could barely wait for Tyler to tell me when to open them - when I did, I saw Tyler down on one knee. And just like that, he popped the question! Overwhelmed with emotion (so much laughter and so many happy tears) I said yes! I couldn't have pictured a more perfect way to start forever together.
