500 acres of flora from all over the world. Stretching from the famous Haight Ashbury neighborhood to the breakers of Ocean Beach, this man made wonder was once nothing but sand dunes. Go to the De Young museum cafe, or the science center, paddle around Stowe Lake, or just get lost in its beauty.
One of our first dates was going here on Emily's birthday, and six months later is where Shaun proposed underneath the winter lights. The light show only happens around Christmastime, but the glory of all the flora is year round.
When in the iconic Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, be sure to stop by Roberts Hardware and admire the hammer Shaun made out of styrofoam and fiberglass.
Baker beach. If you were here in the 90’s you might recognize this iconic beach as the site of the first Burning Man. Don’t mind the odd weirdo still hanging out, clothing is optional at this SF landmark!
Grab a cup of joe at Java beach at the far end of Judah street and walk the promenade of the Great Highway, or kick your shoes off and step out into the sands and dip your toes in the Pacific Ocean
You might know this from TGIF of yore, as the opening shot of Full House features this beautiful row of San Francisco Victorians, but walk around this city gem and you’ll find it offers more than just nostalgia.
The best used bookstore in the city!
We're symphony regulars, check out the especially talented clarinet session. Check them out for Ravel's Rapsodie espagnole the weekend of the wedding!
Emily's neighborhood, and the AI capital of the world. Stop by for some local shopping and world class coffee and ice cream.
Head here for Motown Monday, where we ended up dancing on our first date. Needless to say, one of our favorites!
Great Italian food in one of our favorite parts of town. Shaun says try the eggplant parm.
