While Nick and Emily don't remember the first time they actually met, they consider their first interaction to be at their company holiday party in December of 2018. One of their mutual friends, Devon, set them up, saying "Hey, why don't you two go up to the bar and get a drink together?", knowing exactly what he was doing... he's credited with getting them together to this day! They immediately hit it off while waiting in line for drinks and hung out a few more times with mutual friends before starting to talk more one on one and scheduling their first date by the end of that month. And the rest is history!

Nick had the perfect plan to recreate an early picture they had taken at Longwood Gardens when they first started dating. After a nervous 40 minute drive, Nick and Emily met Nick's sisters and mom to "casually" walk around Longwood. Little did Emily know Nick was searching for the perfect spot to ask Emily to spend the rest of her life with him. Unable to find the original spot, Nick had a better idea - inside the beautiful green house that was full of blooming flowers and life. Inside the green house, Nick's sister Tina was quick to take a professional picture as Nick got down on one knee. A crowd of cheers and applause was met by tears of joy and a day they will both remember for the rest of their lives!
