Where is the Ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be held right outside of The Marq, under the willow tree towards the back of the parking lot. There will be signs to help indicate where to go!

When should you arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 3:30pm, we ask that you arrive between 3:00- 3:15 to allow extra time to greet friends, family and find you seats!

What will your last name be?

Answer

Over the years, we've received a lot of feedback—some suggesting we hyphenate to King-Queen, or even come up with an entirely new last name. But for Emily, the King name holds deep significance. There’s something powerful and meaningful about stepping into that name, honoring its history, and carrying its legacy forward with love and pride. With that in heart and mind, Emily has chosen to take on the King name!

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Our dress code is Black Tie Optional, but please don’t feel pressured to wear a suit if that’s not your thing—formal attire is completely optional, so please go with what feels best for you. Guests are more than welcome to wear black! We just kindly ask that you avoid deep green and ivory, as those colors are reserved for the wedding party.

Is there assigned seating?

Answer

No assigned seating—only designated tables and seats for family members during the ceremony and dinner.

Am I Allowed To Take Photos During The Ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep our ceremony "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos during the event. We want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during this special day. Take as many photos as you'd like at the reception, we would love to see your point of view!

Is there parking available near the wedding venue?

Answer

The Marq offers plenty of free, on-site parking for our guests, including overnight parking!

Will there be a shuttle service?

Answer

We won’t have a shuttle service available, and we kindly ask everyone to avoid driving under the influence. If you don’t have a ride planned yet, make sure to download and set up Lyft or Uber ahead of time!
