Our Story

We met in the spring of 2022 when Wesley was a senior at Gonzaga and Emily was a junior. Our college houses were right next to each other and shared a backyard. Emily would see Wesley playing basketball from her window (which he definitely noticed), and she had a feeling they were meant to know each other. Once we finally met, we started spending nights on the roof looking at the stars. That turned into a summer full of late-night hangouts and making the most of every moment when Emily was home from Spokane. Everything felt fun simply because we were together. We officially started dating on November 27, 2022, beginning our long-distance chapter. It definitely wasn’t easy, but it taught us a lot about communication, priorities, and what it means to really show up for each other. We took turns driving between Spokane and Bothell while Emily finished grad school at Gonzaga. Through it all, we kept growing together with Jesus at the center of our relationship—spending time at the lake, traveling, skiing, and squeezing in as many adventures as we could. Now we finally live in the same city, and we’re so grateful for the little things: exploring Tacoma, going on beach walks, finding new coffee shops, getting plugged into a church community, cooking dinner together, and soaking up every moment with our kitten, Moose. As we step into marriage, we’re excited to bring our families together and build a life we love. Thank you to everyone who has supported us—we’re so grateful to have you in our lives.
