In 2018, Emily was friends with Michael’s precious older sister, Anna. Michael and Emily soon became the best of friends!! Emily totally wasn’t crushing on him. She liked him for THREE YEARS.

Two weeks before Friday May 13, 2020, michael asked Emily to go to Starbucks. He told her he liked her. Two weeks later, they went on their first date- coincidentally on the day the world shut down.

Our first few months of dating were filled with car rides and seeing the quietness of Birmingham as it was quarantined.

November 2020, we were first time voters and had the privilege of voting for the 2020 Presidential Campaign!!

A half a year of being together, December 2020!

Fancy Italian picnic dinner from Amore Ristorante at Veteran’s Park in April 2021! The weather was sublime.

First day as UAB Blazers!! Emily was a freshman and Michael, a Junior!!

Fall 2021, just like old times!! Cooking dinner with all our pals; Anna, Daniel, Luke, Ada, and Anthony (missing Zach and Hope).

December 2021, Michael took Emily for her 20th birthday to the Nutcracker Ballet!!

Emily surprised Michael this time, to go to his first concert!! We saw Hastings, Flor and The Band CAMINO!

Michael and Emily ran track/cross-country for many years as kids!! Michael was always such a fast and serious runner.
