Ben and Emily met on Bumble, where Emily made the first move and sent the first message. Ben quickly stepped up to plan their first date on July 1st, 2023 at Bouldin Acres. What was supposed to be a casual meet-up turned into a four-hour conversation filled with laughs and the realization that neither of them wanted the night to end. In the early days of their relationship, Emily was in grad school while Ben was beginning his first job out of college. From the start, they learned how to support one another through busy seasons and big milestones. Ben faithfully encouraged Emily as she studied, tested, and became a Registered Dietitian. Not long after, Emily supported Ben as he prepared for and passed his Professional Engineer exam. Through it all, they’ve learned how to navigate adulthood side by side, growing both individually and together. Life together has included lots of adventures—traveling to new places, trying new restaurants, playing pickleball, going for runs, grabbing coffee, cooking together, and hosting game nights with friends. Whether it’s a new city or a quiet night at home, they’ve discovered that almost everything is more fun when they’re doing it together. Along the way, they’ve also grown deeply in their faith—spending time in the Word, encouraging one another, and learning what it means to trust the Lord with their relationship. Their prayer is that their marriage will reflect God’s love and that their life together will continue to point others to Him. On March 21, 2026, Ben proposed at Bee Cave Park with a sweet and intimate picnic, heartfelt words, and a very easy “yes.” The day ended with a surprise engagement party surrounded by some of their favorite people—a perfect beginning to their next chapter together.
