Please note that we do not have a room block at this hotel, so transportation will not be provided to or from the wedding for guests staying here. Guests are welcome to take advantage of the transportation offered from the Long Island Marriott or the Hampton Inn Garden City. For those who prefer to travel directly to The Rockaway Hunting Club, Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout the Garden City area. Parking will also be available at the club for those driving. Please allow extra time for traffic if coordinating a rideshare or driving directly to the club.
Train
If you’re traveling from New York City, you can take the Long Island Rail Road from Penn Station or Grand Central to the following stations: Cedarhurst - closest station to The Rockaway Hunting Club Garden City - closest station to the Long Island Marriott and Hampton Inn. Friday night’s welcome drinks are a 10-minute walk from the station.
Flight
For those flying in, JFK is the nearest major airport, about 20 minutes from The Rockaway Hunting Club and 30 minutes from Garden City area hotels. Rental cars and Uber/Lyft are available at JFK; however, ongoing construction may require some passengers to take the AirTrain to rideshare pickup areas, so please take this into consideration when booking flights.
Flight
For those flying in, LaGuardia Airport is about 45 minutes from The Rockaway Hunting Club and 30 minutes from Garden City area hotels. Rental cars and Uber/Lyft are readily available at LGA.
Travel Note
Please allow at least 30 minutes of travel time from Garden City area hotels to The Rockaway Hunting Club. Although the distance is only about 15 miles, traffic and frequent stoplights can increase travel time. Parking will be available at The Rockaway Hunting Club for guests who choose to drive to the wedding on Saturday. Uber and Lyft are readily available in the Garden City area but may be more limited around the club, depending on the time of day.
