Billy and I met back in May of 2016. A group of mutual friends were out in Southie one night and I suggested they meet up with us. I had gotten word that Billy [who I HAD to meet and would totally hit it off with] was with them - no pressure or anything. After waiting in line, which Billy hates to do and almost left, we met. I was smitten. Handsome, great smile, a little shy, and here I am talking his ear off. We talked all night over drinks, the bar was loud and crowded, but we had the best time. We exchanged numbers and spent the next few weeks texting until finally getting our first date on the calendar. We went to dinner in Boston, and this started our weekly Thursday night date nights. Dates continued, celebrated birthdays and new jobs - we talked every single day. Safe to say I think we were falling for one another. We shared a love for many of the same things including boujee restaurants, breweries, and a passion for Boston sports teams – the only flaw was that he loved spicy food and I did not. He finally asked me to go to a wedding with him back in Billy’s hometown in Maine. I had met his sister and brother-in-law casually, he had met many of my friends, but now a wedding with all his friends - the pressure was on. The first night up there, I met his parents by accident. While very nervous, it went well! We had the best weekend, and I can still remember being in his Aunts’ driveway saying “wait, are we a thing?” And Billy saying “um, yes, haven’t we been?” And here we are, 5 years later. We have been on so many amazing trips, eaten a lot of great food, and seen many Bruins games - the memories go on and on. Billy got me back on skis and safe to say I am rather advanced now. We bought our first house together, we have our giant meatball of a dog Groot, and you can always count on us for a beach day. Getting to marry your best friend makes us both very lucky! We are so excited to tie the knot and celebrate with our family and friends.
