Wade and Emily met in the laundry room of their student apartment building on a Friday night in their final semester at Furman University. Never, in their entire four years at the small school had the two crossed paths as Wade was playing football and studying Math and Economics and Emily was on a music scholarship studying Fine Arts and traveling abroad as much as possible. Immediately smitten but fully aware of their impending graduation, they began spending as much time together as they could; unaware that that they had each just met their first and last love. The day finally came to say goodbye, but while helping Emily move out of her apartment, Wade presented her with a bouquet of roses and a card expressing how glad he was to have met her regardless of what happened next. Needless to say, a goodbye did not follow. After graduation they traveled to visit each other whenever they could but it wasn’t enough. Two masters degrees and a global pandemic later the two began dating in the same city for the first time since those final few weeks at Furman. After a year of Knicks games, concerts at Madison Square Garden, Broadway shows and date nights at the Nighthawk Movie Theatre, Wade proposed. They are so excited for all of the adventures to come and are so grateful that you can share in their celebration and witness as they make their life long commitment to grow together.
