All our guests are invited to join us from the Sangeet on Friday evening through all of the events on Saturday. We hope you'll participate in as much as you can - the weekend is designed so you can experience both an Indian and American wedding!
Our invitations will specify who, including children, is invited to our wedding weekend. We ask that you not bring uninvited guests to ensure seating during the ceremonies and reception.
We will have buses to charter guests to and from the Airport hotel block and Foxhall Resort on Saturday. We'll also have on-site transportation from the Foxhall Clubhouse to our venue, for those guests staying at Foxhall Resort. If you drive, there is plenty of parking available at the resort.
Yes, we will provide meals from the Sangeet through the Reception.
We'd like our celebration to be fun and comfortable for everyone. Feel free to embrace the culture or wear what you already have, we just ask that you avoid the primary outfit colors of red, white, and black during the South Indian ceremony - and avoid white during the American ceremony. If you're interested in purchasing Indian clothes, see some suggestions below (or ask friends)! Women: Lehengas (semi-formal/cocktail) and Sarees (formal, can be purchased pre-stitched) are great choices for the Sangeet and Wedding. Men: Kurtas or simple Sherwanis are broadly appropriate for all events. Websites: Utsav, Lashkaraa, Mirraw, Kalki, or others
We're excited that you'll get to experience this. A few tips: - The Sangeet is a festive night of celebration, feel free to mingle, dance, and eat! - You'll find a brochure at your seat during the South Indian Ceremony explaining the order and meaning of each tradition to help follow along.
Come and find out!
