We met during our Freshman year of high school, at Pampa High in the year of 2010. We first just started off as being a couple of freshmen that would say 'hello,' as we passed by each other in the halls. As the years went by, and we got into our Junior year, we started having more and more classes together. I remember always telling Tyler that we just HAD to sit by each other, which we did. We shared many laughs, smiles, and memories together throughout that year. He started walking me to my classes, scooting my desk as close as he could to his. Funny enough, his father and my mother grew up down the street from each other, and were pretty close friends, then here came Tyler and I. Coincidence? I don't know! I remember sitting in Coach Merkers History class our Junior year one day, and I just looked at tyler with sincere eyes, and told him, 'you know what, we are going to get married one day, I just know it, you're the one,' even though, we never actually dated throughout high school. He looked at me like I was a crazy woman, ha-ha! Another year went by, and we graduated from good ole' Pampa High, and we both went our separate ways, until the year of 2016, when we reconnected in the Taco Bell drive thru line, and we hit it off with a bang, as we did our Freshman year. Now, here we are 10 years later! I truly believe in fate, and I truly believe our Lord works in mysterious ways, and He knew exactly what He was doing, and had planned for Tyler and I.
We were at my family's traditional Christmas Eve dinner, here in Pampa, TX. My mother had just gotten a new camera from me and my brother for Christmas, and she was wanting to practice, and get the hang of it, so she can eventually take beautiful photos! She had all of the family go outside of my grandmothers house, in front of all of the 'christmas floaties,' in the yard, as I call them, so she could take some family photos. Then came couples. Mine and Tyler's turn came up, and we went in front of a reindeer in a truck 'floatie' to take ours. Tyler then started to walk off, and I was so confused, and thought that he just had enough of taking pictures, ha-ha. I was telling him to come back, non-stop, and then he finally turned around, got on one knee, and popped the question! Tears were shed all over that front yard, needless to say, and a huge 'YES,' was propelled out of my mouth!
