Question

What's up with Emily?

Answer

You may have noticed that Emily twitches a lot. She has Tourette Syndrome. Tourette Syndrome is a condition of the nervous system. TS causes people to have “tics”. Tics are sudden twitches, movements, or sounds that people do repeatedly. People who have tics cannot stop their body from doing these things. For example, a person might keep blinking over and over. Or, a person might make a grunting sound unwillingly. Having tics is a little bit like having hiccups. Even though you might not want to hiccup, your body does it anyway. Sometimes people can stop themselves from doing a certain tic for a while, but it’s hard. Eventually the person has to do the tic. Emily has experienced a wide variety of tics in her life and sometimes they are made worse by stress. She asks that people do not ask if she is ok. We assure you, she is.

Question

Can we bring the kids?

Answer

While we love all of the kids in our lives, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event.

Question

May I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we simply can’t afford for all of our guests to bring a guest of their own. Therefore, we regretfully ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

Is your venue accessible to those with disabilites?

Answer

Yes! We made sure our venue is completely accessible. It is on the lower level with no stairs into the venue spaces. The venue does have wheelchair to borrow as well.
