Our story starts 9 years ago when we met at Saint Francis University. Both enrolled in nursing school, we got to know each other through a small study group. Ty was the cute one who would take study breaks to play us the latest music he'd found on YouTube, make one of his meatball subs, or show us his jujitsu moves. We spent many hours together studying, weekends together writing papers and ride sharing to and from our clinical rotations. We became good friends as I found out how goofy, easy going and light hearted he is. With graduation approaching it became clear to both of us our friendship was becoming something more. In 2017 we landed our first nursing jobs at hospitals close to each other. A year later, we were both working in the same skilled nursing facility. We would often times grab a late night snack at a diner after work and laugh at some of the work shift events. We knew the nursing facility was not a forever job for either one of us. So, Ty went on to further his education to become a nurse practitioner. I entered into the oncology field. The rest is history! It is clear God's timing is always perfect. Ty popped the question on a beach trip in the Outer Banks on August 28th, 2024. Since then we've been wedding planning and house shopping. On any normal day you can find us hanging out with Storm, watching whatever is popular on Netflix, working out together, or having dinner at one of our favorite spots. Ty has grown to love our trips to Philipsburg and embraces my hometown "country" lifestyle. I have enjoyed becoming a part of the Geesey family. Learning the ways of a "boy family" (compared to the predominantly female household I grew up in) has been fun! We are so looking forward to sharing the commitment to God and each other with our close family and friends. The countdown to a night celebrating love and dancing is on! We hope to see you soon!
