We met back in 2015 in our Sociology class, where our professor's classic "turn and talk" strategy introduced us and began a friendship. Fast forward several months to Torey's last final before graduating where he finally asked for Emily's number and as the cliche goes, the rest is history. After our first date of italian food (lunch - because apparently it's less stressful to Torey than dinner) things seemed to click right away. The next few years were full of beach trips, teaching each other hobbies, too many gym workouts, starting our teaching careers (Torey did a great job preparing Emily for the energy of a first grade classroom), and growing in our love of travel together. There have been so many highs (like Torey learning how to add spices to cooking) and of course a few lows (Emily having to touch a fish she caught) but we are so thankful to be where we are today. Over the years we've been fortunate to grow together, create a cozy home together, travel together, and 7 years after our first date Torey (finally) proposed and we decided to spend the rest of our lives together. We can't wait for this next chapter and to celebrate with everyone in July!
