Please RSVP by June 1! If you want to have a bed in a tent, please RSVP by May 1!
Please arrive at the ceremony by 1:15 pm to be seated.
We will be taking a short walk (2 minutes) down to the Brooklyn Promenade after the ceremony for some quick pictures with a view of Manhattan. Guests are welcome to join us!
Please do! We encourage you to make a speech or write a song (a danish tradition) for the couple. If you write a song please send it to mrberesford@aol.com (Emily's parents) so that it can be printed and handed out to the guests at dinner before we sing together.
The dress code is colorful summery cocktail attire, light summer suits and dresses, pants, or skirts. No black attire please, I mean it when I say colorful! It is summer in New York, so it will be hot! Please dress accordingly, jackets can of course come off if it is too hot. We will be outside for the reception at the orchard. Please bring your party shoes, we will be dancing till late!
Parking for the ceremony is street parking in Brooklyn which can be a little difficult at times, please arrive in plenty of time if you are driving! If you cannot find street parking, there is a parking garage a short walk from the church. For those driving to the reception, there is plenty of street parking along Cold Spring Road and in our driveway!
For those staying with us at the orchard or in the area, there will be transportation to the ceremony from the orchard, leaving at 10:45 am. A bus will leave from The Danish Seamen's Church at about 3 pm after we have taken photos and drive to the Hudson Valley. There is limited seating on the bus, seats are reserved for family and friends who are staying at the orchard for the weekend. Please email me at emilylberesford@gmail.com for more information. There will be no return trip to NYC, but the nearest train station is in Hudson, and we can get you there sometime on Sunday.
