Emily and Tommy first met in May 2019 after matching on Bumble during their time at NC State University. What started as a simple message quickly turned into something more, and on August 15, 2019, they officially started dating. From the start, they bonded over a shared love of adventure, travel, and making the most out of every moment together. Like many couples, their relationship faced an unexpected twist early on when the pandemic changed the course of their final years at NC State. Instead of slowing them down, it brought them closer together as they spent more time navigating life side by side. As the world opened back up, so did their sense of adventure. Over the years, they’ve created countless memories traveling together, from bright-light trips to Los Angeles and Las Vegas, to peaceful retreats at the mountains or beach. Between adventures you can find them cheering on their favorite sports teams and getting too invested in reality TV shows. Whether exploring a new city or relaxing at home, they’ve always found the most happiness around each other. During the summer of 2025 they moved in together in Raleigh. Their little family grew soon after with the addition of their two cats, Maui and Junie, who quickly became the spoiled rulers of the house. Seven years to the day after they started dating, Emily and Tommy are excited to celebrate the next chapter of their story with family and friends on August 15, 2026 in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina.
