TeAndre and Emily both briefly attended the University of Louisville. Everyday he held the door open for her as she left the class he had next, the red lipstick she wore daily intrigued him. Eventually, one asked the other to lunch and they got an absurd amount of nuggets together at the Wendy’s on campus. That was the start of something fated. After 5 long years of him being the only true friend she’d ever had, even when they didn’t talk, they reconnected and it clicked; Emily finally realized that he had been in love with her from the start and she realized that love wasn’t like in the movies. Love can be, and should be, calm, kind, and quiet. She realized that she felt at home with TeAndre and they started dating. He stepped into his dad role and they lived as a happy family for 2 years when he felt it was time to take the obvious next step. In August of 2024, TeAndre proposed at one of Emily’s favorite museums and she said YES.
