Back in 2019, when his friend Nick won a dinner party raffle, Stevie asked Emily out to their college's annual Spring Formal because he, quote, "needed a date" and thought she was "the cutest girl around at Christendom" -- little did he know that Emily thought he was the sweetest and most handsome guy she had ever met (though she did make sure some of her best friends Julianna and Rose knew, who are now her Maid of Honor and Bridesmaid)! Emily's mom still remembers sewing her emerald green dress to make it look perfect for her date. Years later, in 2024, God brought Stevie and Emily together again at a mutual friends' New Years' Eve party when all the odds had initially been against them attending the celebration, including a long drive home from visiting family in Massachusetts and a snowstorm. Emily saw Stevie at the party and was too shy to go up to talk to him, but she did immediately tell her best friend Theresa that her college crush was there...and then she hoped that smiling at him across the room might suffice. Moments later, Stevie and Emily were reconnecting like long lost, old friends. They even found out that they work two minutes apart from each other, somehow having never really crossed paths again from 2019 until then. They went out on a first date just days later and knew they had found "the one" very soon. Now they are excited to spend the rest of their lives together, chasing Heaven as husband and wife!
