Our love story

First comes blind date, then comes marriage!

Their story began when one of Steph's co-workers mentioned her daughter had a friend who might interest Steph. After some quick text message exchanges with Steph's co-worker's daughter, Emily and Stephanie were to meet for the first time at Chili's in Glastonbury in 2014 on Cinco de Mayo. This was the first margarita of many to be shared between them. The summer of 2014 was one filled with many beach trips, hikes with Mason (Emily's dog), and late-night bonfires where their friendship eventually developed into something they both could not deny. Summer turned into fall and their connection only grew stronger as more serious conversations unfolded. Emily finally asked Stephanie to be her official girlfriend on December 9, 2014. Like most relationships, they endured some challenges that tested their bond but ultimately their love thrived. They moved into an apartment together in the spring of 2016 in Vernon Connecticut, and have lived there ever since. They added a new puppy (Mia) to their family and worked on making their new place a home. Thanks to their best friends Kimy and Rachel, they discovered their home away from home in Provincetown (PTown) in Cape Cod. This is the couple's yearly vacation destination where they enjoy time by the ocean, shopping, and night outs on Commercial Street. On October 12, 2017, the couple got ready for a formal dinner at their favorite Italian restaurant in PTown. Before their dinner plans, Emily had a very important question to ask Stephanie. On their way to Ciro & Sal's, the couple decided to take their traditional vacation photo near the water and walked down to the pier. When they got close to the end, Emily went down on one knee and asked Stephanie to be her wife. PTown not only is the place their love is celebrated by all but it's the city they made the eternal commitment to each other. Their Cape Cod themed wedding is a way for the couple to share this special place with family and friends! E&S
