It all started with a little matchmaking magic from their friends, Ryan and Sarah. Emily met Sarah when they were randomly paired as roommates at UC San Diego, and Sean met Ryan through their fraternity days at the University of Oregon. As fate would have it, Sarah and Ryan were getting married and asked both Emily and Sean to be part of their wedding party. Sarah had a good feeling that Emily and Sean would hit it off and suggested they meet before the big day. After seeing a picture of Sean, Emily couldn't deny she thought he was  handsome, so she happily gave the green light for an introduction! Sean and Emily started texting and quickly realized they had a great connection so a few days later they made plans to meet in person at a restaurant in San Francisco. It was September 2020, and the world felt a little upside-down. Wildfires had turned the sky an eerie shade of orange, and COVID restrictions made indoor dining impossible. Outdoor dining wasn’t an option either, due to poor air quality. It would have been easy to cancel, but Sean had other plans. He turned his home into their own private restaurant experience, complete with multiple courses courtesy of The Italian Homemade Company. He even swapped out the dishes and silverware between courses! They spent hours talking that night, and their connection was undeniable. A month later, Sean asked if he could introduce Emily to his friends as his girlfriend. It was an easy and enthusiastic yes from her! Nearly four years later, Sean proposed by the water at Jack London Square. The moment was perfect, and he even surprised Emily by having their family and friends there to celebrate with them. A Little About Them: Today, Emily and Sean share their lives in the vibrant neighborhood of Jack London Square, where they’ve built a cozy home with their one-year-old pup, Whiskey. Whether it’s morning walks by the water, visiting their favorite dog friendly breweries, or lazy Sunday cuddles, Whiskey has added endless joy and laughter to their lives. Cooking has always been an activity they love to do together. From grilled cheese competitions to experimenting with new recipes at home and enrolling in local cooking classes during their travels, some of their favorite memories are in the kitchen. They are no strangers to a dance floor, whether it’s a wedding, a party, or just their living room, you can always count on Emily and Sean to be the first ones dancing and the last ones standing. On a night in you might find them deeply engrossed in a game. From classic board games, to game shows, to intense Mario Kart showdowns, they welcome a little friendly competition.  Together, they’ve explored San Diego, Arizona, Maine, Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, New York, Wisconsin, and Oregon and look forward to expanding their travels as a married couple.  Emily and Sean are so excited to celebrate their love with all of you and create even more cherished memories together!
