Where is the ceremony?

Our wedding ceremony will take place at The Gala 417. We look forward to celebrating with you in this special setting.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

We kindly ask that you arrive early for the ceremony. This will allow ample time to find your seat and set settled before the proceedings begin. Please reference the Events page for timing details.

Will transportation be provided to the ceremony?

At this time transportation arrangements have not been made. Please check back for future information.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, self-parking is available on site at the venue.

What should I wear? What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. For gentleman, we suggest a suit and tie, and for ladies long dresses would be perfect.

What weather should I expect?

Answer

Virginia Beach weather is always variable so please make sure to check the weather forecast prior to packing. We recommend dressing in layers to stay comfortable throughout the day and into the evening.

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes, while we adore all the children in our lives, our wedding celebration will be limited to only preselected children.

How do I know if I can bring a plus-one?

Answer

All plus-ones are specified on your invitation. We've thoroughly planned our guest list, so we kindly ask that you RSVP only for those listed on the invitation.

Is it okay to take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, as we have hired a professional photographer. However, feel free to capture memories during the reception!

Is there a backup plan in case of inclement weather?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors at the venue. In the event of inclement weather, the cocktail hour will be moved to an indoor location at the venue. Rest assured, we will make every effort to ensure the celebration goes on smoothly.

Will the wedding be live-streamed or recorded for those who cannot attend?

Answer

We understand that not everyone will be able to join us in person. However, we will not be live streaming the ceremony or recording the event.

What beverages will be available?

Answer

At the reception, there will be refreshments including coffee, tea, water, and limited soda. The bride and groom will provide select beer and wine options to over 21 guests. All other alcoholic beverages will be available via cash bar. Please remember to tip the onsite bartending staff.
