Question

What are the current COVID-19 protocols in place?

Answer

Obviously current protocols are subject to change. In March, King County (where Seattle is located) dropped its requirement that all businesses see proof of vaccination before letting people indoors. However the county is letting individual businesses decide whether they want to keep or drop vaccination status checks. The county, state, and CDC strongly recommend people are fully vaccinated and receive a booster dose -- especially before gathering in large numbers. MASKS: Washington State & King County are rolling back their mask requirements to only in certain situations (inside hospitals/doctor's offices, while on trains/buses, in Uber/Lyft rides, and at airports) starting March 12th. However the state & county are letting individual businesses keep their own requirements in place if they choose to. We will be following state & local requirements, whatever they may be, on the day of the wedding.

Question

How Do You Book Your Hotel Room & Get Our Block Rate?

Answer

We have an agreement in place for a block room rate at two hotels: The Kimpton Hotel Monaco & The Kimpton Hotel Vintage. They're one city block apart. 1) To check availability, click the special link to each hotel listed on our travel page. 2) Click the "Book Now" button in the top right corner. 3) Click the "more options" dropdown. If you went through the dedicated links on our travel page, the IATA# & Group Code boxes should be filled out for you. 4) To see availability (and get the block room rate), your check-in date at either hotel must be Thursday July 14th, Friday July 15th, or Saturday July 16th. The block rate is good through a checkout date of Sunday July 17th. If anyone is looking to extend their stay beyond then, reach out to Scott or Emily. They can work with the hotel to extend the rate. There are plenty of other hotel options (including AirBNB etc). It's worth noting July is a very popular time to visit Seattle, and availability can change quickly.

Question

How Do I Get to the Venue?

Answer

Imperia Lake Union and Fairview Park (where we will have our outdoor wedding ceremony, weather permitting) is a 7 minute drive from Hotel Monaco & Hotel Vintage in downtown Seattle. If you are driving yourself to the venue, there is a designated parking lot across the street from the venue. The rough location is here: https://goo.gl/maps/DgV58Q3iVdYmPn9e9 It's worth noting the entrance is just past the venue (heading north). If you reach a traffic light, you've gone too far. The lot will be rented, so you will not have to pay to park. There will be a gold A-framed sign that says "ENTIRE LOT RESERVED FOR IMPERIA" at the entrance. If you prefer not to drive, you could also use a rideshare such as Uber or Lyft. We are also in the process of booking a shuttle that will pick up guests outside the Hotel Monaco at 4:45pm. More details will be provided closer to the wedding date.

Question

What if the Weather Doesn't Cooperate?

Answer

Weather in the Northwest is never predictable. We are hoping to have our wedding ceremony outdoors at Fairview Park right next to Imperia Lake Union at 5:15pm. However, if the weather takes a turn and it starts to rain or we're dealing with a significant heat wave, we will move the ceremony indoors. If that happens, we will post an update to our website so everyone would know to meet at the venue instead of the park. If you choose to take the shuttle we are arranging outside Hotel Monaco, it will take you to Fairview Park if the weather cooperates. However, if we need to move the ceremony indoors, it will take you straight to the venue.
