Few wineries can claim that they grow, press, ferment, and bottle their own product. At Mercier Orchards cidery, they craft premium product that we can proudly label as Georgia Grown. Sam and I personally enjoy their cider tasting, apple picking and apple cider donuts!

A popular destination for day-hikers, Benton MacKaye Trail thru-hikers, and paddlers making the journey down the Toccoa River Canoe Trail is the swinging bridge over the Toccoa River. This 270 foot long bridge is the longest swinging bridge east of the Mississippi River. This is about 45 minutes away from Aska Farms.

Take a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway starting at the historic depot, built in 1905, in downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia. Regularly scheduled trips are 26 miles roundtrip (4 hours ) winding along the beautiful Toccoa River in vintage, climate controlled rail cars or open-air rail cars arriving in the quaint sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee. Passengers have a 2 hour layover in McCaysville/Copperhill; plenty of time to eat lunch, shop for unique crafts and antiques, snack on ice cream, or walk across the old bridge in town to view the river.
