We met at Illinois State University where only Emily was attending at the time. Sam was visiting a mutual friend for the weekend as he was considering attending ISU the next fall. Our group of friends was out celebrating Emily's 21st Birthday. Since Sam's birthday is 12.6 and Emily's is 12.17, we spent the night bantering about whose birthday party it was. We ran into each other again at a mutual friends New Years Eve party where we shared out first kiss at midnight. We continued to visit each other for the next two months before we finally made our relationship official on 2.24.12. After almost 6 1/2 years of dating, Sam chose one of our favorite spots to get down on one knee and pop the question - Pikes Peak in Colorado. We are so excited about the next chapter in our life and cannot wait to tie the knot in Estes Park, CO on May 21, 2019!
