How We Met

It is safe to say that Rayce and Emily don't remember officially "meeting" each other. They both attended Concord Elementary School from an early age. Rayce and Emily have been interested in one another since the fourth grade, when Rayce first asked Emily to be his girlfriend. That relationship didn't end well, but nevertheless Rayce and Emily's chemistry never dissipated. They remained romantically interested in one another throughout middle school, and high school. Finally, they attended the prom together junior year. That night they had their first kiss, and Emily thought that without a doubt Rayce would ask her to be his girlfriend. It wasn't until exactly one year later, the night of their senior prom, that Rayce and Emily finally made it official and the rest is history.

How He Asked

Rayce proposed to Emily on their seven year anniversary. He knew he couldn't do it alone, so he enlisted the help of their new puppy, Kiwi. Emily was visiting her mom for the weekend, because Rayce and Emily had agreed they weren't going to do anything special for their anniversary since they just spent an arm and a leg on their new puppy (sorry Kiwi, I love you and it was worth every penny). When Emily got home from her mom's, she walked in and of course was greeted by little Kiwi. As she was petting Kiwi she realized she had a piece of paper tied to her collar, and then she saw there was a ring tied to the collar as well. The note on Kiwi's collar said: "Will you make my dad the happiest man in the world by marrying him?" Of course Emily broke down in tears, and she said yes.
