If you got time to spare or it's on your way to the wedding, we recommend visiting 3rd Street in downtown Geneva, IL. It is about a 40-minute drive from the wedding venue. This was the site of our first date! Although Graham's 318 Coffeehouse is no longer in business, the building is still standing and is now known as The Kate at 318. Just a couple doors down is Graham's Fine Chocolates & Ice Cream, a must visit! There are also plenty of charming shops to explore, one favorite being The Little Traveler.
Want to visit the location of our engagement? Kuiper's Family Farm is about a 45-50min drive from our venue. Around our wedding date, their Orchard Shop and Bakery will be open! Earlier in the fall season the farm offers even more attractions which include apple-picking, the sunflower festival, a pumpkin farm, and other activities perfect for families.
We had a delicious breakfast here and, since they also serve lunch items, it would make a great brunch location as well. What really makes this place stand out is it is set in a historical home and happens to have a tree growing through the restaurant. If you go, you may be lucky enough to sit near the trunk!
If you are looking for a nice restaurant to do lunch or dinner, the Mockingbird Bar + Garden is the perfect place. They offer foods such as, wood-fired pizza, seafood, shared plates, and tasty cocktails. This restaurant also offers a separate menu for Sunday Brunch.
A great place for a hearty meal. Emmett's is a microbrewery with house beer and delicious sandwiches, burgers, steak, fish, and desserts. They even have a gluten-free menu and daily specials. Quinn and I had dinner here and shared the chocolate stout cake for dessert, and oh my, it was rich and delicious.
