We met at Sacramento State in our Introduction to Neuroscience Lab. We became lab partners, and found that we had several classes together that semester. We became friends and walked together between classes by the end of the semester we started dating. I still remember the first time I saw Paul. I was intrigued by the tall person walking into our first day of Neuroscience. Looking back now I knew subconsciously he was someone special.
We road our bikes from Sacramento State University to a local Temple coffee shop. We sat outside and talked for a while then road our bikes back to school.
I had decided I wanted to see the full Solar Eclipse. Paul came along with me and we drove all night to Madras, Oregon to a small field in the middle of nowhere. We slept in the car cause we had a potato issue with our tent, and got to watch the sun go dark together. While the drive back wasn’t as fun, It was an amazing experience and I am so glad I got to spend it with the love of my life.
We got up early to take pictures in Central Park, it was our last day in New York City. We walked with my parents through Central Park to the Bethesda Fountain, we took some pictures along the way and Paul proposed under the arches of the fountain. I was so happy I forgot to say anything. I finally said yes and we left New York City engaged.
