We're Getting Married!!

Paul and Emily met on the ever-illusive app for your phone- Tinder. On August 19, 2023 they enjoyed their first date at Hazel Art Bar on South Pearl Street where Paul drank Old Fashioneds and Emily drank whatever cocktails had tequila in them. First impressions are a funny thing- Paul was convinced he didn't do anything right, but Emily was enamored by his long hair, ability to listen carefully, and kind soul. After 3 dates, Paul asked Emily to go to the cabin in Empire, CO where she experienced the first "cabin kickback". They defined the relationship that September 10th while in the bunk loft, and then Paul went to a Manual High School football game to meet Emily's students days later. In their first years, they traveled to Las Vegas (and got matching tattoos after 4 months dating while there), Palm Springs and Disneyland (where Paul became a Disney adult for the first time), Disney World and Fort Pierce, FL (to hang out with Emily's grandparents and Rocky the Dog), New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA (to experience the most magical state and Bourbon Street with our officiant, Nico), South Dakota (where they found the best hibachi ever), to Lake Mac up in Nebraska (for the Crennen family vibes), to New Jersey (for endless Beach and Eastern HS friends events), to Chicago (where they scoured Chinatown with their best man, Brandon), to Alaska on a Disney Cruise (where Paul was suckered into the Disney life, OOPS) and more with the hope to continue making more memories in different parts of the USA (and world!). Paul got promoted to a Lead Plumber position in 2024 and still made sure there was dinner waiting for Emily when she got home from her (crazy!) day with students every night regardless of what was going on in his world. Emily and Paul spend intentional time together. They are LifeTime fitness members, where they spend their time in the sauna and with weight racks, are always on the pursuit for all the best soup dumplings in Denver, CO, can be found at Denver Classroom Teachers rallies to support Emily's union, and always on a mission to watch the new movies in the the theatre with half butter and half kettle popcorn. The past years have been filled with love, learning, so many laughs, so many cleaning lessons, and intentional growth of a long lasting partnership together. Through any difficulty, they came out on the other side with a stronger understanding of one another, and through every happy moment, they could be found reminding each other how obsessed they are with the life they have made. Paul and Emily's engagement on December 22, 2024 marked the beginning of the best chapter in their books. Paul and Emily appreciate every one of you that have contributed to their love story.
