You do not absolutely need to rent a car while you're in Park City, though it would be helpful if you want to explore more of the general area. Most will be flying into SLC airport, which is 45 min drive from Park City. If not renting a car, there are private shuttles and Uber rides that can bring you to Park City, but unfortunately, there are not good public transportation options. We encourage car-pooling whenever possible, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us so we can scope out some options based on your flight information! In Park City, there is a bus system that can bring you most places around town. For the wedding itself, we encourage people to Uber/Lyft from their lodging to the venue, or if you will not be drinking, there is parking available.
Attire for the ceremony/reception is summer cocktail. Summery dresses, nice shirt & slacks with or without a sport coat, suit - we are not picky. The entire ceremony & reception will be outside, so dress for weather fluctuations. The sun won't set until about 9pm, but afterwards, it can cool down quite a bit (see below).
Summer in Utah is HOT and very dry. Park City is at 7,000 ft elevation, which makes it a little cooler than Salt Lake. Expect 80-90 degrees in the heat of the day and lows of 50 at night.
