How We Met!

"Back to December" of 2018

One fateful December 7th, Emily was scrolling through the dating app Bumble, and came across a handsome looking man in suspenders. She scrolled through the pictures and found him playing with dogs and had to learn more about them (and Noah)! Noah got the notification and they began talking instantly. Realizing they were both born and raised in Manassas their whole lives, even worked in restaurants next to each other, never crossing paths until they matched. After a few days of talking they decided to meet for a date on December 13th. Noah took Emily to the Festival of Lights in Bull Run VA, under the thousands of twinkling LEDs they knew it was more than just your average Bumble date. They decided to fight the cold and attend the carnival at the end of the light show. Emily thought Noah was crazy for wearing a winter coat and Khaki shorts in such freezing weather. Even the carnival workers could tell how giddy and goofy they were together while getting on the rides, cracking some good natured jokes at them in the process! After a night of fun and full belly laughter, they ended the date by getting dinner at Logan's (one of Noah's favorite restaurants). Little did they know at the time it wasn't just their first date, but the first chapter of the rest of their lives together.

Living and Loving Life!

"Love Story"

From early on learning a shared love of music, including Noah loudly singing songs with Emily such as Bleed it Out (Linkin Park), Everybody (Backstreet Boys), and even I Feel Like a Woman (Shania Twain) in a gas station! They attended many concerts over the years from Luke Bryan to Green Day, partying like no tomorrow at each one. They continued the party in their travels from white water rafting the rivers of West Virginia, hiking the mountains in California, and even the trails of Tennessee, to the beaches of the Carolinas and the Jersey Shore (where he popped the question!). They experienced many firsts together, including horseback riding, Color festival, Rugged maniac 5k, adopting their two furbabies, getting their first apartment, and then buying a house together in the middle of a pandemic. Even in the day to day they live their best lives, dancing like nobody is watching (except the judgmental eyes of the dogs), playing endless games together, going camping and hiking when they can, and of course always laughing until it hurts.
