FAQs

The Wedding Website of Emily Morrow and Nicholas Dilling
Here is a map of Wye Island. Our wedding will be located at the Duck Lodge overlooking Granary Creek (on the yellow trail). If you have any questions other than what we've listed below, please don't hesitate to reach out to Emily by email at emilymorrow92@gmail.com.
Question

What about COVID?

Answer

We want to be able to celebrate safely and respect each person's level of comfort. We are closely following CDC, State, and County guidelines to see how they impact our event, and we will add updates as needed. The ceremony and reception will be entirely outdoors (under cover) which poses less risk than indoor events. We still ask that guests monitor their symptoms and exposures prior to the wedding, and take every precaution to protect the safety of our most vulnerable guests. Please reach out to us with any questions you may have.

Question

Are there shuttles?

Answer

Shuttles will be running between the venue and the three Kent Narrows hotels (Best Western, Holiday Inn, and The Hilton). We encourage you to take the shuttles even if you aren’t staying at one of the three hotels. Please be ready in the lobby at 3:00 pm for the shuttle to the ceremony. Shuttles will leave promptly at 3:15 pm. After the wedding, there will be an early shuttle (around 9:00 pm) and a later shuttle (around 10:30 pm) to return guests to the hotels.

Question

Can I drive or call my own cab?

Answer

We highly recommend taking the shuttles if possible, but you can drive or call your own service if you prefer. There is parking available if you prefer to drive yourself (please don't drink and drive). The most reliable cab service in the area is Kent Island Sedan Service (KISS) - you can call and book early if you'd like, here is their website: http://www.kentislandsedanservices.com/

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail/Casual attire. The ceremony is scheduled to be outdoors on the grass, weather permitting. The reception will be outdoors but under cover. Please plan your clothing and footwear accordingly. We care more about you being dressed comfortably so you can let loose and boogie than looking fancy.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love kids, but we'd prefer you leave them with a sitter so you can fully let loose! We understand, however, that this may not be realistic for everyone. If you need to bring your little ones along please just reach out and let us know as soon as possible.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 14, 2022 (one month before the wedding).
