our elopement story

Our decision to elope was not an easy one. Since getting engaged, we dreamed of a beautiful beach wedding and a big party with our family and friends. For us, it was so important to have everyone that we love together in one room. Unfortunately, the pandemic hit only a few months into our engagement. Our dream destination wedding in Mexico changed to Florida, which eventually moved to Austin, then settled on a small backyard wedding... and as the pandemic worsened, our wedding was indefinitely postponed. But we didn't let that stop us from progressing our life as future husband & wife. We got the cutest COVID puppy, Frankie, and purchased and started renovating our first home together. We were busy enjoying these new adventures and decided to sit tight until we could have our dream wedding. As we approached a full year into the pandemic with no end in sight, the stress of not knowing when we'd get married was starting to wear on us both. We couldn't imagine risking the health of our family & friends by moving forward with an in-person wedding. So we had a tough decision to make; continue to postpone our lives as husband & wife... or elope! We're sad that we didn't get the chance to celebrate in-person with our friends and family, but you were in our hearts on our very special day. We chose to put our love for each other above all else, and we had the elopement of our dreams in the process.
