Before Nick and Emily had even met each other, you would have discovered the idea of them together already formulating in the brain of their mutual friend, Haley Falcioni. And like any good friend who wants to see their friends meet and click and fall deeply in love, Haley began to plant the seeds into their heads individually through breezy hints (and maybe showing each other their social medias). Nick and Emily were open and intrigued but resistant to being set up. Of course group hangouts helped grease the wheels but it wasn’t until Nick and Emily had snippets of conversations alone together that feelings were forged. They served in similar ministries at church on Sundays which became the window for them to inch a little closer until the Sunday that Nick asked Emily if she wanted to go out. On July 10th, 2017, Nick and Emily had their first date. He remembers this date because they talked about how the next day, July 11th, was 7/11, also known as… Slurpee Day. And the rest is history…
